Motive PR: Great things come in small packages

At Motive PR we are firm believers in the adage that great things can come in small packages. That’s why we are incredibly honoured to be named as a finalist in the Digital PR Agency of the Year – Small category at the UK Digital PR Awards 2023.

We are riding the crest of a wave at the moment and we wanted to share our success with others, which was the main motivation for entering the awards.

Three years ago we rebranded our agency with a new name, Motive PR, and a clear focus on digital PR and content marketing for e-commerce brands.

We decided only to take on work we’d be proud to tell our mums about and to politely turn away any enquiries which didn’t fill us with delight. We concentrated on wowing clients with results beyond their wildest expectations and measured all our outputs, compiling comprehensive reports of all our campaigns.

This determination to turn away work we didn’t relish meant that in 2022 we worked with only 30 clients, a smaller number than previous years. But we grew our fee income by 43% which was well beyond our targets.

This trend has continued into this year with fee income up by 32% in the first six months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

Our results also continued to get better with an outstanding 5,730 links earned for clients in the first quarter of 2023 alone – meaning we are on track for delivering more than 20,000 links this year.

But we’re not just hitting it on quantity we also smashed it when it comes to quality with links coming in from some of the web’s highest authority domains.

Back in March we were lucky enough to be named European Content Marketing Agency of the Year at the European Content Marketing Awards 2023 and that success was hugely exciting for all the team.

Being named as a finalist in the Digital PR Agency of the Year – Small category also means the world to us. We have huge respect for the judges and to be recognised by our industry peers in this way is very humbling.

We wish all our fellow finalists the very best of luck and I hope to meet some of you in person at the event. Steve McComish, MD Motive PR
