Introducing Pearl Comms

Pearl Comms is a dynamic and thriving B2B PR and communications agency based in the heart of Birmingham city centre. We pride ourselves on outstanding creativity and a first-class service that our clients love, with over 90% of them working with us on long-term basis.

Founded in 2017, Pearl Comms has recently expanded, acquiring fellow Brum-based PR firm, Kinetic Communications, in a six-figure deal in May 2023. We’re now continuing our growth path with a series of new hires to ensure that we can keep giving the very best service to our ever-growing client base.

Our home is Alpha Tower – a shared working space that provides a great collaborative environment for our team and our clients, who regularly visit us for brainstorming and creativity sessions, reviews, project pitches and the odd catch-up here and there. Having a happy team and building strong relationships with our clients are some of the most important things to us, and we regularly travel up and down the country to spend time with them. In the past month alone, we’ve ticked off multiple trips to London, Leeds, Bristol and Hull, to name just a few.

We are wordsmiths and newshounds in equal measure, specialising in media relations and content, the written word and, of course, those all-important creative campaigns. There’s nothing we love better than sinking our teeth into a new project and getting the very best results.

Our client base consists of everyone from startups and SMEs, right through to multinationals, based in the UK and further afield.

Our award-nominated work – Potter Space ‘BIG Things in SMALL Boxes’ research campaign

As finalists in both the Digital PR Campaign of the Year (B2B) and the Best Use of Creativity awards, our nominated work shows the breadth and depth of our skills, from campaign start to finish.

Pearl Comms joined forces with property investment company, Potter Space, in August 2022, with a view to activating a campaign in September to launch a cornerstone research report commissioned by the business alongside Savills. Within a short time-period, we worked with Potter Space to really understand their objectives, as well as what ‘excellent’ results would look like, and created a multichannel, creative campaign and communications strategy.

This fully integrated campaign encompassed everything from creating a stand-out feature ad to producing a branded research report, as well as seeking out speaking opportunities for our client experts to share their knowledge and findings with the industry. We also filmed a series of testimonials with Potter Space’s customers that can be viewed on their website.

Testimonials

Nick Brown, PR director at Pearl Comms, said: “This campaign was an exciting challenge for the team. We had to distil a significant amount of information into meaningful insights for a number of different audiences, as well as achieve cut-through in a very busy sector. We crafted a number of creative elements including an atmospheric ad campaign featuring a ballerina that involved a full film crew and smoke machines – resulting in a piece of video content that has real impact and is totally different to anything else in the industrial and logistics property market.”

Alia Al-Doori, managing director of Pearl Comms, said: “Pearl Comms has just had one of its most exciting years on record, topped off by this amazing opportunity to be a double finalist in the UK Digital PR Awards. From onboarding a host of new clients to acquiring Kinetic PR, our team has had to rapidly expand whilst still delivering the quality service that we are known for.

“For a small business that started out with four team members, we’ve now quadrupled in size, and I am so proud of everything that we have achieved together. The team are creative, dynamic and bring what I like to call ‘the fire’ – something utterly unique to each of them that sets them apart and drives incredible results for our clients.”
